Summer is the perfect time for game shows, so Fox is keeping up with the trend as Beat Shazam returns for a third season. If you want to make sure you can have your laughs watching Beat Shazam online, we've got you covered.
Beat Shazam is a musical game show hosted by none other than Jamie Foxx. There are three teams of two players who go through five rounds to identify a series of songs, trying to be faster than the famous Shazam app is. Being faster than Shazam on all six songs wins you a $1 million prize. Only one team managed to win the prize in the two seasons that have aired so far, but we can hope to see this happen again this season.

The show returns on air on May 20 and you'll be able to watch new episodes on Mondays at 8 PM. Let's find out what options you have.
Yes, you can. Fox does feature a live stream on its website, which means you'll be able to watch it quite easily there if you sign into an account. For that account to allow you to enjoy the show live, you'll need to associate credentials from a TV provider, whether traditional cable or live TV platform. You thus have to prove that you're paying to watch TV somewhere and that the plan includes Fox. Let's see what live TV platforms you can enjoy the channel on because it's far easier to watch like that.
We live in an interesting time when we do pretty much anything online, from working to chatting up our friends, from binging on our favorite shows to reading the news, from doing research to simply wasting time. So why wouldn't we also put "watching TV" on that list too? Well, there are numerous advantages to watching TV online, including the fact that these platforms are cheaper than cable. Plus, you can customize your plan to some extent, and you can even cancel your subscription at a moment's notice if that's what you desire, because there's no contract to tie you down. The best part of it all is the freedom you get once you cut the cord and switch to live TV platforms - you can watch your favorites no matter where you are, whether at home, at work, or on the bus - just take out your smartphone and start watching. Here are the live TV platforms you can watch Beat Shazam on.
fuboTV - We're kicking off our list with fuboTV, which is a great platform that comes with some really cool features. There are two bundles to start with - fubo and fubo Extra - although the latter is now packed up with some add-ons so you can save some money. Both bundles feature Fox, so you're covered to watch Beat Shazam. If you want to customize the service, you can do so by adding a few premium networks and a whole list of channel packs. Read up on our fuboTV review to find out more.
Sling TV - Our list continues with Sling TV, which is a highly versatile service. This one has three bundles to choose from, namely Orange, Blue, and Orange + Blue. Fox is part of two of these bundles - Blue and Orange + Blue, so you have a bit of room to decide which one you like best. There are loads of channel packs you can add, depending on your interests, and a few premium networks, so you can really customize the service. Read our Sling TV review to find out more details on what the service has to offer.
Hulu - We have Hulu up next, a platform that's been around for a while. The live TV plan now costs $44.99 per month and includes access to dozens of channels, including Fox, and the VOD library. There are a couple of channel packs available if you want to add more to the mix, as well as several premium networks. You can always read our Hulu review to find out more about the service.
YouTube TV - Our list continues with YouTube TV, a service that only features one bundle of channels. After adding loads of Discovery channels, the service hiked up the price to $50 per month, but the list of channels does include Fox, so you can watch Beat Shazam easily. There are no extra packs available here, but you can add several premium networks if you want. Read TechNadu's YouTube TV review to find out more before making a decision.
PlayStation Vue - Last on our list, there's PlayStation Vue. This one comes with four bundles that are pretty great - Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra - and all of them feature Fox, so you can watch Beat Shazam anytime you want. This platform offers a couple of channel packs and several premium networks to those who want to customize the service in any way. Make sure to give our PlayStation Vue review a read so you can find out all about those really cool perks subscribers get.
DirecTV Now - We have DirecTV Now on the list next, which is a service that now features seven bundles. There are two brand new bundles in there - Plus and Max - while the old ones got a new name and a new, higher, price - Entertainment, Choice, Xtra, Ultimate, and Optimo Mas. All seven bundles feature Fox, so you are good to go no matter which one you end up choosing. The platform further allows users to add a couple of packs featuring Spanish channels, several international packs, and a few premium networks. Read all about it in our DirecTV Now review.
Since Fox works through local stations, you can't actually watch the shows everywhere across the US, although it does cover a great deal of the country. If you live in one of the cities where the live TV platform won't deliver Fox, then you need to get creative because it's not the end of the world. Live TV platforms act like any other website and read your IP address to get information on your location. Thankfully, IP addresses can be changed in just a few seconds with the help of a VPN, so you can easily unlock Fox. Here's what you need to do.
Yes, Fox is one of the channels that broadcast over the air, which means you can easily watch it with the help of an antenna. TV antennas have long been the go-to solution for those who want to cut the cord because they're relatively cheap and you get to watch TV for free. The downside of this move is that you'll switch from hundreds of channels on cable to just a couple of dozen. Alas, you can't complain since it's free.
Before jumping at the chance to watch TV for free, however, we do recommend you check a site like NoCable, which can tell you what channels broadcast in your area and how strong their broadcast signal is. This can help you decide if to take this important step in the first place and if so, just what range to look for in an antenna. We've already made a suggestion for you, which is a great device that comes with some great reviews, but ultimately the decision is all yours.
Yes, straight over on Fox, you'll find that both previous seasons are available to stream, which is great news if you have an account with any of the platforms we just discussed. So far, the episodes don't show up elsewhere, but we'll make sure to update if anything changes after the show premiere in May.
We'd love to hear back from you about what platform you chose to watch Beat Shazam on, so drop us a note in the comments section below. Share the article online so others can find it too and follow TechNadu on Facebook and Twitter for more tech news, guides, reviews, and interviews.
