Who doesn't love a good zombie story with a twist? Well, we do and if you do too, we can help you watch iZombie online.

iZombie has been around since 2015 and it's a show that has garnered a lot of attention thanks to the fun plotline that mixes in comedy and drama quite well, plus, of course, mystery.

The show first aired in March 2015, managing to get a second season quite fast, premiering in October of the same year. Since then, they've generally stuck to one season per year, with the last one ending in May 2018. The fifth season of iZombie is scheduled for to premiere on May 2, 2019, which means we'll likely see Payton back at crime solving until August.

This fifth season will also be the last for iZombie, which will air on Thursdays on The CW. Judging by the posts on Twitter, everyone on the crew is sad for the end of this story.

Can You Watch iZombie on The CW?

Sure, you can. There's only one small problem - you can't watch anything live. The CW has a site that doesn't feature a live stream of the channel's broadcast, but you can watch the episodes the day after they air. The CW allows users to watch them without logging in, so it's all free, and you're going to be able to watch the most recent five episodes. If you want to watch the episodes live, when they air, you're going to need a live TV platform that features The CW.

Which Live TV Streaming Platforms Will Help You Watch iZombie?

Nowadays, people are more inclined to watch TV over the Internet because that offers them a lot of freedom that they wouldn't be able to get otherwise. What freedom? Well, like watching your favorite shows on the bus, on vacation, or at work, hidden in the break room. Plus, cable contracts are expensive, the channel line-up is difficult to customize, and if you want to drop the contract, you better clear a few hours of your schedule. Live TV platforms, by contrast, are relatively cheap, offer customization options, cool perks, and can be canceled at any time. So, let's see what options you have to watch iZombie without a cable subscription.

fuboTV - At the top of our list we have fuboTV. This platform is more focused on sports than entertainment, but they're growing at a nice pace, adding more channels. Well, The CW is already present on their list, available both in fubo and fubo Extra. Check out TechNadu's fuboTV review for more details about the service.

Note: fuboTV features The CW, but it's only available for customers in certain areas - Atlanta, GA, Detroit, MI, Philadelphia, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto, CA, San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose, CA, Seattle, WA, Tampa, FL, and Chicago, IL. Basically, if you live elsewhere, you won't be able to access the channel without making use of a VPN. We'll detail this bit in a little while, so keep on reading.

Hulu - Another great option for you is to get Hulu, the platform that you're already familiar with. The live TV plan costs $44.99 per month and includes access to dozens of channels and the full video on demand library. Rest assured, The CW is part of the offering on Hulu, so you're good to go. Read our Hulu review for more info.

YouTube TV - Next, we have YouTube TV. Since it comes from Alphabet Inc, YouTube TV comes with some really great perks for subscribers. The monthly subscription price is set at $40 per month and it includes access to The CW, plus a ton of goodies. Check out our YouTube TV review for more details you'll need before making a decision.

DirecTV Now - Another good option is to pick DirecTV Now, which is a platform that offers a lot of customization options. There are five main bundles to pick from, a few International bundles, a couple of channel packs, and some premium networks available. The CW is present in four of the five bundles, namely Live a Little, Just Right, Go Big, and Gotta Have It. Go ahead and read our DirecTV Now review to get more details info on what the platform has to offer.

What Can You Do to Watch The CW Isn't Available In Your Area?

The thing about TV channels is that they may be available in one area of the United States, but not in the other. It's pretty common for some channels to only be available in metropolitan areas and completely missing in small towns. Needless to say, this can be annoying, especially when it also applies to online platforms. Thankfully, this issue can be fixed quite easily, with the help of a VPN. The explanation is simple. The platform reads your location by looking at your IP address. If your IP address corresponds to a different area, where certain channels are available, like a big city, then you can watch the channels that are available in that area. Since VPNs are the perfect tool to easily change the IP address, they're what you need.

Note: This same method can be used to circumvent the geoblockades set by streaming platforms and TV channel streams. If you didn't know, these are all only available within the United States and, as soon as your IP address no longer corresponds, you get blocked. Well, the VPN can help you with this problem quite easily. All you need to do is follow the steps we mentioned above.

How Can You Watch Older iZombie Episodes?

Well, the first obvious place is The CW website where you can check out the most recent five episodes and new ones get added the day after they air on TV. On top of that, you can check out Netflix, where you can check out all the first four seasons if you have a subscription.

You may also want to buy the episodes, which is also an option. You can find either the individual episodes or the full seasons on Vudu, Microsoft Store, iTunes, or Google Play.

What About Digital Antennas? Do They Work With The CW?

Well, yes, they do. Cord-cutters have chosen tv antennas for a long time and it's easy to see why - you only buy the antenna once and then you no longer pay for cable. Sure, you only get a couple of dozen channels, but since it's all free, you don't get to complain about it. Numerous channels can be watched like this, including The CW, and the likes of NBC, ABC, and CBS.

However, before moving forward and actually buying a digital antenna, you should go and check on a website like TV Fool if the channels you want to watch are available over the air in your area, and if so, how strong is the broadcast signal. If all is well, you can go ahead and buy the digital antenna you like most.

We hope we've managed to clear up some issues you may have in finding a way to watch iZombie online. Please share the article online if you have the time, and follow TechNadu on Facebook and Twitter for more tech news, guides, and reviews.
