How to Watch Turning Red Online on Disney Plus

By Lore Apostol / March 10, 2022

Turning Red is the latest Disney and Pixar movie collaboration that landed in cinemas recently. It was intended to be released theatrically worldwide, but that changed due to the pandemic, so it will be made available on Disney Plus and theatrically in countries without the streaming service. However, we will soon be able to stream Turning Red, and quite easily at that, so let's see when, where, and how to watch Turning Red online.

Disney and Pixar’s Turning Red introduces a confident, dorky 13-year-old called Mei Lee, who lives in Toronto and is torn between remaining her mother’s dedicated daughter and the chaos of coming of age. Unfortunately for the kid, her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, is never far from her daughter. And besides all the changes (to her interests, relationships, and body), whenever she gets too excited - and she does that a lot - she “poofs” into a giant red panda. That's how she finds out there's an ancient secret behind it.

The voice cast includes Rosalie Chiang as Meilin "Mei" Lee, Sandra Oh as Ming Lee, Sasha Roiz as Mr. Kielowski, James Hong as Mr. Gao, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Priya, among many others. The movie is directed by Academy Award winner Domee Shi (Pixar short called Bao) and produced by Lindsey Collins.

Turning Red will premiere on the Disney Plus streaming platform on Friday, March 11, 2022, and you will be able to access the title and watch it online after 00:01 AM PT, as it usually happens with new content on most of the streaming services.

How to Watch Turning Red Online on Disney Plus in the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia

Everyone is happy that we can watch Turning Red online, and you will be able to do that through Disney Plus in several countries. You will be able to watch in the US as well after Disney's streaming platform will add it to the library for US customers. And it's actually pretty easy to do that - all you need to do is to subscribe to Disney Plus on their website and you get access to titles from Disney, Pixar, National Geographic, Marvel, Star Wars, and The Simpsons, among others.

The subscription fee adapts to local currency most of the time, and in the following countries, it costs:

Besides subscribing to Disney Plus as a standalone service, you can also go for the Disney Plus, ESPN Plus, and Hulu bundle if you live in the US. This means you can save 25% compared to the monthly cost of subscribing to all three services separately if you decide to take the deal. If this bundle sounds like a good bargain for your needs, know that you can choose between The Disney Bundle with Hulu with ads for $13.99 per month or with Hulu (No Ads) for $19.99 per month.

The Disney Plus platform is compatible with mobile devices and tablets, both iOS and Android, Smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more, and you can check the full list here. Also, Disney Plus is expanding to other countries as well, so you will be able to watch it in more territories starting this summer.

Can I Watch Turning Red on Disney Plus for Free?

Yes, there is a way to do that. This comes as good news for new and existing Verizon customers in the US because you're eligible for six months of free Disney Plus with select Unlimited plans if you're a Verizon subscriber. This means you will be able to watch Turning Red for no charge. After the free trial ends, you will pay $7.99 per month, which is the standard price for a standalone Disney Plus subscription on the streaming platform.

You will also be able to get your hands on the bundle we mentioned in the previous segment since Verizon offers The Disney Bundle for Unlimited subscribers, but this one does not have a free trial, so be careful what you choose.

Unfortunately, the streaming platform does not offer a free trial on its own anymore, so this is the only way to watch Turning Red on Disney Plus for free.
