The Twilight franchise features five movies which are based on four books - Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. Much like it happened with Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and others, the last book was split into two movies to better cover the whole story.
Now, 13 years after the last movie was released, the franchise is once more in the limelight after Stephenie Meyer released another book called Midnight Sun. The book tells the story from the first book from the male protagonist's point of view, Edward Cullen. Plus, Meyer announced that she has plans for two more Twilight books.
The movies had a total budget of about $400 million and managed to bring in over $3.3 billion at the box office, which is a massive success.
What's Twilight About?
Twilight is a vampire-themed fantasy romance novel collection where a teenage girl falls in love with a vampire - and becomes close with his vampire family. Unlike other series where vampires are creatures of the night, in Twilight, vampires never sleep, they can walk around in broad daylight, but they do have to avoid direct sunlight because they sparkle. Yes, they sparkle.
There are also werewolves involved, and vegetarian vampires, and nomads, and gifted vampires. It's a whole universe that you have to get into to understand it.

The Twilight Movies have a cute cast that features Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Bobby Burke, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Green, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Bryce Fallas Howard, Rachelle Lefevre, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Anna Kendrick, Jamie Campbell Bower, Rami Malek, Lee Pace, Michael Sheen, Dakota Fanning, and Christopher Heyerdahl, to name a few.
The fans absolutely loved the cast, particularly as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson had a three-year-long relationship that put them in the spotlight even more than the film was.

One thing's for sure, Robert Pattinson won't be taking back this role anytime soon if the amount of shade he's thrown it's way is any indication. Of course, with him taking on roles like Batman and Kristen Stewart like Lady Di, it's unlikely that any of them would go back.
Nonetheless, the Twilight books and films remain a phenomenon and fans keep getting back to them, keeping a running order on how to watch them may be a good idea.
