How to Watch the Saiki K Series in Order

By Samona Punjabi / April 18, 2022

A supernatural comedy anime, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, often referred to as Saiki K, features the troubled Saiki Kusuo, a boy with psychic abilities. Like Mob, from Mob Psycho 100, high-schooler Saiki often finds his abilities unmanageable and problematic. He possesses powers like telepathy and telekinesis and often tries not to use them in public.

However, just like Mob, Saiki often ends up in situations where he has to use his abilities. In any case, Saiki is pretty much surrounded by idiots who never figure out his more than obvious abilities, making the anime even more hilarious! The story is more of a compilation of the events in Saiki’s life. The character designs are unique and detailed. However, this setting allows for extremely well-executed jokes and amusing characters, getting more screen time.

In addition, Saiki K's animation is top-notch, with his powers elaborated well. He's often seen surrounded by dramatic speech bubbles exaggerating his thoughts and the thoughts of everyone else around him. If you enjoy comedies like Gintama and Sakamoto Desu Ga, you'll definitely love Saiki K! The recommended watch order for the series is chronological. Fans can skip the first ONA: Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan (2013).

Fans looking to watch Saiki K can check it out on Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Tubi, where the anime is available for free. You can also watch the series on Netflix if you have a premium subscription.
