Business owners are well aware of the fact that new equipment can pose a significant investment. The same applies to individuals who’d rather pay a monthly fee instead of paying the full price upfront. In case you belong to either of these groups, Microsoft has a very interesting payment plan called Surface All Access. Let’s see what this is all about.

Today’s press event hosted by Microsoft was full of product announcements. We have the all-new Surface Studio 2, Surface Laptop 2, Surface Pro 6, and even a brand-new product call Surface Headphones. Of course, hardware wasn’t the only thing in focus today. A new Windows 10 Update should reach your computer any moment now. However, Microsoft also spent some time introducing its Surface All Access payment plan that might be the perfect way for you to upgrade your existing PC.

Surface All Access is a new service offered by Microsoft that gets you a new Surface device and access to Office 365, for a monthly fee. However, don’t make a mistake by thinking that this is a subscription service, or that you’ll be able to upgrade to the latest Surface devices one year from now. Instead, Surface All Access is just a payment plan. You will need to pay monthly for up to two years until you finally pay off your purchase.

Of course, this comes with numerous benefits, especially if you don’t want to pay the full price upfront. For example, a Surface Go (with a Type Cover included) that includes two full years of Office 365 is priced at $24.99 per month – which adds up to $600 over the entire period of two years. In other words, you’ll actually save $70 this way, since you’d spend $670 if you’d bought it all outright. As you can see, Microsoft has done a very good job of creating a compelling offer.

Of course, only the entry-level plan is priced at $24.99 per month. In case you want a more capable device like the Surface Book, Laptop, Pro, or Studio, be prepared to pay more. And it’s also worth noting that Surface All Access will be available from October 16 – which is when the latest Surface devices become available in the US and around the world.
