Disney+ Beta Goes Live for PS4 in US and EU

By Gabriela Vatu / August 1, 2019

Disney+ is officially in Beta testing both in the United States and some Europe countries. The news comes from PlayStation 4 beta testers who are posting all about it over on Reddit.

According to Cord Cutters News, the Disney+ Beta is running in the United States and the Netherlands, as well as some other parts of Europe. It's unclear at this point how exactly Disney+ is picking its testers, but we all hope we'll get singled out too.

What the new tests show, however, is that it is quite likely that PlayStation 4 and Roku are among the first devices that will get access to the platform. Other platforms that are expected to get access to Disney+ are Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Xbox and others. People who are selected are supposed to help Disney discover kinks in the system and help them fix out the bugs before the rest of the world gets its hands on the tools.

Disney+ will go live on November 12th, 2019, and it was originally thought that the United States would be the sole beneficiary for a while, but it does seem like a few more countries may be on the first-day launch list. The service will come with a $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year subscription price.

The money will cover access to the full Disney library, as well as a whole list of new Marvel shows, to name a very few, plus other exclusives. You can check a more comprehensive list in a previously covered topic. Those alone are enough to get us eager to sign up for a new way to shell out money towards Disney's pockets.
