• When you set out to create a new logo, there are to ways to start. You can either go for a template or start from scratch. In this example, we’ll choose a template.
• There are over 7,000 logo templates at the moment and many of them are really nicely designed. On the left side of the screen, you can choose from different categories to narrow down your search. Once you’re happy with your pick, click on the logo. You will be asked to enter the name and your company’s slogan – both of these being optional.

• On the left side of the window, you will see the main toolbar that comes with the following tools: Icon, Text, Shape, and Background. We’ll begin by adding an icon.

• You can start searching by entering a search query. When you find something interesting, just click on the icon to add it to your design sheet. At any moment, you can select the icon on your design sheet to resize it, move it, change its color, mirror it, and change its layer (front or back).
• If you don’t want to add a custom icon but instead stick to the one found in the template, make sure to click on it. This is how you can change its color and other properties.

• Next, let’s check out the text tool. You can choose from numerous different fonts or you can go for stylized looks. Click on the text preview to add some text to your design. Then, you can further change its font, size, color, and do different kinds of formatting changes. You can even fine-tune spacing and curve.

• Then, we can add a shape. You can choose from the following categories: badge, decoration, line, solid shape, outlined shape, banner, and symbol. Each of these brings a solid number of options, so you can easily add some variety to your logo design. Still, it would have been nice if we could import elements from other places on the Web, just to make sure that we have complete freedom of creation.

• And finally, you can add a background to your logo. You can either go for a transparent logo (which is handy if you want to publish it on the Web or print it) or add solid and gradient colors.

• Once you are happy with your logo, you can either preview, save, or download it. If you decide to download it, you’ll get to see different pricing options. The most limiting one is the free option, which exports your logo in a 500 x 500px document. Paid plans give you much greater freedom and higher resolutions as well.
