Doxing of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers has surged, particularly in Portland, attributed to Antifa-affiliated groups like "Rose City Counter-Info" and "The Crustian Daily." These groups are publicly circulating images, names, and personal addresses of officers and their families.

Kristi Noem, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), addressed the illegal doxing of personal information of ICE officers in Oregon on July 11, 2025. Noem stated that assaults on ICE law enforcement have increased by nearly 700% due to the continued efforts by criminals and Antifa-affiliated groups in Portland.

Members of "Rose City Counter-Info" and "The Crustian Daily," pose a danger to officers and their families by publicly exposing their names, pictures, and residential addresses, a practice also known as doxing or doxxing.

Doxing, a portmanteau of "dropping docs," involves the public revelation of private personal information and could endanger the privacy and lives of officers and their families. This information could be used by other gangs like Tren de Aragua and MS-13 to carry out attacks.

“We will prosecute those who dox ICE agents to the fullest extent of the law,” said Secretary Noem.

The rioting began after the Trump administration initiated its nationwide deportation effort of illegal aliens, particularly in major cities like Los Angeles. This intensified campaign, by the "big, beautiful bill" explicitly aimed at deporting "criminal illegal aliens" to "make America safe again," has sparked protests.

The bill has increased funding to deport 1 million illegal aliens per year, a move that has enraged residents of Portland, Oregon, leading to the doxing of ICE agents.

A DHS press release detailed the operations at California marijuana facilities, where ICE and CBP law enforcement rescued at least 10 migrant children from suspected exploitation and arrested nearly 200 illegal aliens.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin emphasized the severe risks faced by officers, stating, "During the operation, a violent agitator fired a gun at our brave officers. While ICE and CBP officers are being assaulted by rioters and dodging bullets to save children, Sanctuary politicians are demonizing ICE and CBP."

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the individual who fired a gun at law enforcement.
