Black Clover Anime Film First Teaser Trailer Unveiled; 2023 Release Confirmed

The official Twitter account for the Black Clover manga series recently released a new video in celebration of the series' 7th anniversary. The video in question was a preview for the upcoming anime film that the franchise announced sometime ago. According to the short preview, the Black Clover anime film is set for a 2023 release.

The Black Clover anime series adaptation produced by Studio Pierrot aired in Japan on TV Tokyo from October 2017 to March 2021. Fans looking to watch the series can check it out on Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, and VRV. The anime Twitter account for the Black Clover series has previously released two visuals of Asta and Yuno drawn by manga creator Yuki Tabata, who is supervising the film. Along with the 2023 release confirmation, the Black Clover anime film has also unveiled its first teaser trailer. No other details for the film have been released; however, fans can at least be assured that Asta will return to their screens soon! Check out the newly released teaser for the upcoming film below:

Black Clover is originally a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuki Tabata. The series follows Asta, a young boy born without any magic in a world where everyone has some sort of magic power. Regardless of his magic status, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King and will do anything to achieve his goal.

The manga has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since February 2015. Fans looking to read the manga series can do so on Viz Media's official website or Shueisha's online portal, MangaPlus.

In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder's magic. Asta's is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent's spells.
