The Movies and Series Leaving Netflix in December 2018

Netflix is one of the great platforms out there, it's one that can help you watch loads of movies and series that will certainly keep you entertained. Everything has an ending, however, so we're going to take a look at the movies that are expiring this December.

There are a lot of movies on the list, a gazillion documentaries, as well as plenty of TV series that have an expiration date by the end of the year. We're going to do this alphabetically, so no one gets confused.

As the year ends, however, and as the launch of the Disney+ platform, we should expect to see more and more Disney, FOX, and FX shows to be removed.

December 1

• Magnificent Century (2011) - drama / history - The series follows the story of Suleyman the Magnificent, but one season is vanishing from Netflix, so watch before this happens.
• Northern Soul (2014) - drama / music - Two friends discover American soul music back in 1974
• Perfect Sisters (2014) - crime / drama - Two sisters plot to kill their mother
• Tangerine (2015) - comedy - A hooker goes on a search for the pimp who broke her heart on Christmas Eve

December 2

• War on Everyone (2016) - action - Alexander Skarsgard and Michael Pena are two corrupt cops that blackmail and frame criminals they meet

December 3

• Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch (2002). Air Bud: Spikes Back (2003), Air Bud: World Pup (2000), Air Buddies (2006) - comedy / adventure - Puppies go on adventure - what's not to like?!
• The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars (1998) - animation - The title says it all - The little toaster goes on an adventure to Mars
• The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue (1997) - animation - The Brave Little Toaster goes on to save animals getting sent to a testing lab
• Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales (2010) - animation - The Disney film is expiring on Netflix, but you'll likely see it on the new streaming platform when it goes live.
• Spooky Buddies (2011) - animation - Puppies go on an adventure in a haunted mansion
• Tarzan & Jane (2002) - animation - Jane and Tarzan have been married a year so she goes on a search for a special gift
• The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos (2008) - documentary - The life of flamingoes is put under the spotlight
• The Search for Santa Paws (2010) - adventure / family - A magic doc and an elf team with two kids to rescue an amnesiac Santa
• Tinker Bell (2008), Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue (2010), Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure (2009) - animation - Three Tinker Bell movies are getting pulled from Netflix, will likely move to Disney in the future

December 4

• A Case of You (2013) - romance -  A young writer makes up a new personality for himself and attracts a girl online; but when they meet he needs to keep up the facade.

December 5

• Homeland (Iraq Year Zero) - 2-Part Movie (2016) - documentary - A chronicle of life in Iraq before and after US invaded

December 6

• Trolls (2016) - animation - Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, and Zooey Deschanel give life to a cute group of trolls.

December 9

• Battle Royale (2000) and Battle Royale 2 (2003) - action / drama - The Japanese government captures a class of ninth-graders and forces them to kill each other in the first installment, while in the second they go on to seek an international terrorist.
• Teeth (2007) - horror / comedy - One chaste high school student has teeth where she shouldn't.

December 14

• Bindi's Bootcamp - game-show - Bindi Irwin presents a children's game show
• DreamWorks Holiday Classics (2011) - animation - Shrek, Toothless and the animals of Madagascar
• The Moaning of Life - comedy - Karl finds out how people in other places live and what challenges they face
• Step Up 2: The Streets (2008) - music / drama - Dance students find romance while busting some moves
• Wizards vs. Aliens (2014) - action - Aliens invade Earth looking for magic, but local wizards defend the world against them

December 15

• No Second Chance (2015) - TV series - A doctor whose husband was killed in their own home goes on a journey to find her abducted daughter
• Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (2011) - drama - Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, and Tom Hardy orchestrate a spy exchange during the Cold War

December 16

• Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 (2011) - adventure - Two talking chihuahuas help out their owners to save their home

December 17

• The Honorable Woman (2014) - drama - Maggie Gyllenhaal is Nessa Stein, a woman who inherits her family's arms business and finds herself in the middle of a situation she doesn't desire

December 19

• Food, Inc. (2008) - documentary - A look at America's food industry
• I Give It a Year (2013) - comedy - Newlyweds face challenges as their first anniversary approaches
• Moana (2016) - animation - Moana sets out to fix things when her fellow islanders are unable to find food and takes on a journey with Demigod Maui

December 21

• Spotlight (2015) - crime  drama - The true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the largest child molestation scandal the Catholic Church faced

December 24

• Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) - action - Captain Jack Sparrow seeks for the trident of Poseidon. Since this is a Disney movie, you'll likely find it on Disney+ soon

December 30

• Troy (2004) - drama - This Brad Pitt adaptation of the famous Homer epic is expiring on Netflix so hurry up to watch it.
