How to Watch ‘Run’ Online – Live Stream Season 1

By Gabriela Vatu / April 11, 2020

There's a cute new show coming for HBO this spring, and we are eager to watch the episodes and find something to keep us entertained and laughing. We are planning to see Run online, so let's go figure out how to do this.

Run is the new black comedy thriller series that is headed for HBO. The show focuses on the life of Ruby Richardson, who tries to revisit her past with her college boyfriend, Billy Johnson. Ruby Richardson is played by Merritt Wever, whom you'll know from Nurse Jackie, and Billy Johnson is played by Domhnall Gleeson, who's played in movies like Harry Potter, Peter Rabbit, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

They had made a pact many years before, promising that if either of them texted the word "Run" to the other and they got the same in reply, they would drop everything in their lives and meet in the Grand Central Station to travel across America together. Obviously, this is going to be quite an adventure.

When and Where to Watch Run?

The first season of Run will start airing on HBO beginning with April 12th. You get to enjoy new episodes at 10:30 PM.

How Can I Live Stream Run?

Watching TV online is something that we should all be doing nowadays because you have a certain level of freedom that you don't get to enjoy otherwise with regular cable TV. That's because TV platforms will help you travel anywhere you need to be while continuing to have access to the content you love. So, you can kick back and relax regardless of where life takes you. Thankfully, HBO is a network that owns two streaming platforms, so you can watch all the content you want, whenever you want. The two platforms available here are HBO GO and HBO Now, and the only part where they differ is the way you log in to an account. You can subscribe directly to HBO Now, but for HBO GO, you will need to have credentials from a TV provider where you've already added HBO to your subscription if you want to log in. Start your 7-day free trial on HBO Now!

HBO Now and HBO GO apps work on multiple platforms, including iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Chromecast, Roku, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and more. (Note: Even though HBO GO is a platform that's available in multiple markets, you will still need to use your home platform. In order to do this, you will need a VPN, so you appear to be back home regardless of your actual location. Click here to get more details on how VPNs work.)

How Can I Watch Run When Traveling Outside of the United States?

One of the main problems you will discover when you travel outside of the United States is the fact that live TV platforms and streaming services are all geo-blocked, which means that you cannot access them freely like you do when you are home. Mainly, this happens because there are licensing deals in place that prevent these companies from streaming content beyond the borders of the United States. We understand this can be rather annoying, but it's just how things are, and there's not much you can do about the situation other than to get creative.

In short, you will need to change your IP address, so the site believes you are back home in the United States rather than anywhere else in the world. You can do this easily with the help of a VPN. We always recommend ExpressVPN because it's simply one of the best tools on the market, with thousands of servers all over the world, and some really great privacy features that will help protect your identity.

Here's how you can use ExpressVPN to watch Run:

Can I Watch Run on the Network's Website?

Well, you certainly can because this is an HBO show and you will be able to watch it on the HBO website. The only catch about the whole thing is the fact that you need to have an HBO subscription, which will lead you either to HBO GO or HBO Now.

Can I Binge-Watch Run?

Well, that is certainly going to be a possibility because Run is going to be present on both HBO GO and HBO Now, so you'll be able to binge on any of its episodes as soon as they become available. If you wait a few weeks, you'll even be able to watch a few episodes at a time.

Can I Purchase Episodes of Run?

Again, this is going to be a possibility because the HBO shows are usually uploaded to various platforms, so those who really love them can purchase individual episodes or entire seasons. Therefore, you may want to try out Google Play, YouTube, iTunes, Microsoft Store, Amazon Prime, and Vudu once the episodes start airing. Make sure you visit all the platforms mentioned above in case any of them have a discount available that you can enjoy.
