How to Watch ‘Clouds’ Online – Stream on Disney+

By Gabriela Vatu / October 16, 2020

Fiction can sometimes take us on unbelievable journeys, but other times it's the true stories that are most impressive. Clouds is a new original movie coming to Disney+, based on a true story. We're eager to watch the movie online, so let's see what needs to be done.

Clouds is based on a memoir called "Fly a Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom's Small Prayer in a Big Way" by Laura Sobiech. The rights to the memoir were acquired some years back, as the film was officially announced in February 2016.

Of course, these things take time, from creating the script to signing on the actors, filming, post-production, and so on. So we're just getting the movie now, more than four years after the initial plans were revealed.

What's Clouds About?

Clouds is a touching film that tells an incredibly inspiring story. The movie follows Zach Sobiech, a high school senior with a talent for music. Just as his colleagues start thinking about college and their futures, he finds out his cancer has spread, and his days are limited.

Choosing to live his life to the fullest and to make his dreams true, even in the short time he had left, he starts making music - his one dream. His hit song Clouds was born as he starts saying goodbye to the world.

It's a heartbreaking story, but one that teaches us to do what we love before it's too late. As mentioned, this is a true story, which makes things hit even harder for viewers.

Who's Part of the Cast of Clouds?

Clouds features Fin Argus in the main role of Zach Sobiech. He's had a few TV roles and made an appearance in several short films thus far, which makes Clouds his big break.

The charming Sabrina Carpenter (Girl Mets World, Horns, The Hate U Give) plays Sammy Brown, Zach's best friend, while Madison Iseman (Jumanji) plays Amy Adamle, Zach's girlfriend. Neve Campbell (Scream, Skyscraper) and Tom Everett Scott (An American Werewolf in Paris) play Zach's parents.

When and Where to Watch Clouds?

Clouds will premiere on Disney+ on October 16th. Disney+ content is usually released right after midnight if you're that eager to watch it.

How Can I Watch Clouds?

When it comes to Clouds, we already mentioned this is a movie that has a PG-13 rating, and it's an original Disney+ film. Therefore, if you're going to watch the movie, you'll obviously need a Disney+ subscription.

If you're in the US, that will cost you $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year, and there is no free trial currently available. You also have the option of going for the bundle that includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ for $12.99 per month. In other countries, the stand-alone subscription to Disney+ will cost similarly, translated into the local currency.

The subscription includes access to original content, tons of Disney shows and series and movies from across the decades. They also feature National Geographic, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel content.

Disney+ works on smartphones and tablets running on iOS and Android, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more.

Can I Watch Clouds Elsewhere?

Since Clouds is a movie that's exclusive to Disney+, it won't be available elsewhere.

It remains to be seen whether at one point in the future it will become available on sister-platform Hulu. Also, it's likely that the movie won't be available to purchase at the time. With the prices movies are usually featured for, it's cheaper to subscribe to Disney+ for a month.
