Threat actor “l33tfg” asserts responsibility for leaking confidential data reportedly belonging to Interpol. The individual or group behind this claim alleges to have exposed 1,000 database entries.

The announcement prompted major concerns over the security of sensitive law enforcement information on an international scale.

Posts surfaced on underground hacking forums, where “l33tfg” brazenly announced their alleged breach of a database linked to Interpol.

Though details of the compromised information remain sparse, the claim suggests a significant data breach that could carry serious implications for global agencies relying on Interpol's intelligence-sharing capabilities with member countries.

Cybersecurity experts are closely monitoring this development to verify the legitimacy of these statements. Initial reports indicate that the data may include private records and law enforcement intelligence, although this is unconfirmed at the time of writing.

If proven true, the alleged database leak could compromise ongoing investigations, expose confidential law enforcement techniques, and potentially jeopardize operations conducted by Interpol's 195 member countries.

Given that Interpol serves as a central hub for international law enforcement collaboration, the alleged breach raises questions about the security measures protecting its data assets and their ability to safeguard sensitive materials against increasingly sophisticated threat actors.

At the time of publication, Interpol has not confirmed or denied the claims made by “l33tfg.” However, it’s likely their cybersecurity specialists are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, as the urgency of identifying the potential attack vector to prevent further breaches remains.
