There has been a lot of hype and leaks surrounding the OnePlus 6 the past few weeks. With official teases, hints and even a censored video about the upcoming flagship smartphone, we have all the information we need about the device.

The new OnePlus 6 looks slightly different from the OnePlus 5T and it introduces a glass back and an iPhone X style notch in the front of the screen. OnePlus promised that users will be able to turn off the notch by changing the notification bar to black.

Just like its predecessor, the OnePlus 6 will have a dual camera setup on the rear and a fingerprint sensor on the back. The glass back is a new addition to OnePlus devices and it also suggests the device may have wireless charging but there have been no confirmations yet.

The specs of the device are mentioned in Chinese in the leaked images, but we already know the tech specs from previous announcements. The OnePlus 6 is set to have a Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The phone will include a 6” display and the rear camera setup is set to include a 20-megapixel and a 16-megapixel lens.

There are other leaks that have crept into the internet including a OnePlus 6 and an iPhone X side-by-side comparison, but they have been identified as fakes as the details don’t match up to the official teaser photos. It is also likely a OnePlus 6T will be announced later this year going by the release schedule for OnePlus devices lately.

The OnePlus 6 is scheduled for announcement on May 16th in London. We will get detailed confirmation of the specs, design and other information online once the announcement is up. OnePlus devices are known to compete against flagship devices but are priced competitively, and the new offering will likely be priced similarly to the OnePlus 5T as well.
