Mac App Store to Get Redesign in macOS Mojave

By Nitish Singh / June 5, 2018

The Mac App Store will get a visual refresh with the upcoming macOS Mojave update. macOS 10.14 will bring in a new design for the store similar to update we received previously for the App Store in iOS 11. Users will get access to a new Discover feed which will showcase curated apps hand picked by Apple staff as well as lists based on review scores and popularity.

Other new categories are being planned by Apple under Work, Play, Develop and Create tabs that showcase featured apps. Reviews are set to be more prominent, allowing users to browse through user opinions easily. The product pages will also receive a visual refresh to make browsing the store on macOS much simpler.

The update will also bring over previously Windows-exclusive applications to the platform like Lightroom CC, Transmit, Office 465 and more. The new update will also bring other heavily requested features like desktop stacks, dark mode and auto-fill for two-factor codes.
