Now the new trend begins that the Android phones devices are taller than usual screens. For example, the model like Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and LG's G6 have a taller display screen with the aspect ratio 18:5:9 and 18:9 respectively.

But sometimes the taller one may cause some issues when you building an app on a 16:8 ratio screen, leading to unsightly bars at the top and the bottom of the display, or else some app doesn't support this screen size.

Now, Google platform encouraging Android developers to adapt their app on the new ratio. Neto Marin, Developer advocate of Android said that " take full advantage of the larger display formats". But it is quite hard to develop all these things in the new ratio.

The full design will only focus on taller Screen size and they could also make devices more prone to breakage. If you are watching TV shows or movies in mobiles, surely you are happy with that news. People are await to see the new ratio Android phones.
