SPOILER WARNING

The following article contains major spoilers from the latest episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Entertainment District arc!

Demon Slayer's Entertainment District Arc has been giving fans exciting content for the past few episodes, with the fight between the Demon Slayers and the Upper Moon Six finally coming to a close. The events of the ongoing arc featured Tanjirou, Zenitsu, and Inosuke accompanying the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui to Yoshiwara, Tokyo, in search of his wives. While the Demon Slayers are aware that the red light district is surrounded in mystery, they do not expect to run into the Upper Moon Six siblings, Gyutaro and Daki.

A fight between the slayers and the Upper Moon soon ensues, leaving Uzui poisoned and the others severely injured. As the battle reaches its conclusion, fans are left wondering if Tanjiro, Uzui, Zenitsu, and Inosuke survived. Read on to find out what happened.

Gyutaro mocks Tanjiro.

Are Tanjiro, Uzui Zenitsu, and Inosuke Alive in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba?

In the battle during the District Entertainment Arc, Inosuke is stabbed through the heart by Gyutaro with his poison-laced sickle-like weapon, leaving him immobilized for a while. On the other hand, Gyutaro tells Tanjiro that Uzui's heart stopped after the poison spread through his body, while Zenitsu lays helpless under the rubble, waiting for his death. However, Uzui, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke are NOT dead.

In the latest episode, after some severe injuries and humiliation from Gyutaro, Tanjiro appears defeated. However, he secretly uses a poisoned kunai on the Upper Moon Demon to paralyze him while severing his head. On the other hand, Daki, who prepares to help her brother, is intercepted by Zenitsu, who has risen from the rubble using "god-speed." When it seems like Zenitsu's power might not be enough to finish off Daki, the Wind Breathing user Inosuke soon joins them.

Inosuke joins Zentisu's fight against Daki.

The brief interaction confirms that Inosuke and Zenitsu did not sustain any life-threatening injuries before the Upper-Rank Six demons were killed. Inosuke explains that he can shift the organs inside his body, so Gyutaro never really stabbed him in the heart. Meanwhile, Tanjiro cannot sever Gyutaro's head in time due to not having much strength left. However, Uzui emerges and saves him momentarily, fighting the Demon himself.

Uzui saves Tanjiro from Gyutaro.

Tanjiro and Uzui fight Gyutaro, who stabs the former through the jaw. However, this does little to break Tanjiro's resolve, who swings his sword to decapitate Gyutaro anyway. Gyutaro uses the blood blade as his last resort before he's beheaded. Until this moment, nobody except Uzui sustained any life-threatening injuries. Nevertheless, the latest episode ended in a cliffhanger, not clarifying whether the Demon Slayers survived or not.

In the episode's final sequence, Uzui runs towards Tanjiro to protect him from the blood blades, while the latter seems utterly distorted and unable to move. Regardless, let us keep in mind that Tanjiro is the protagonist, and his death would not make sense at this point in the story. The young demon slayer has yet to confront Muzan Kibutsuji for murdering his family and turning his sister into a demon.

Tanjiro is stabbed in the jaw by Gyutaro.

Tanjiro's death would essentially make the story meaningless, and hence, he's alive. While Tanjiro might be too important to kill off, we don't think the same applies to his Demon Slayer friends. The latest cliffhanger leaves us with no answers about Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Uzui's futures. Fans will have to wait for the next episode to find out!

SPOILER WARNING

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga spoilers below!

The only way we can divulge information for our favorite Demon Slayers' futures is by presenting answers from Koyoharu Gotouge's manga series, on which the series is based. It appears that Zenitsu and Inosuke will be severely injured after the attack and will require Kakushi's help to recover. However, fans can relax because the two Demon Slayers will survive.

Meanwhile, Uzui has sustained the worst damage of them all and is struggling for his life. The poison he managed to stop temporarily will permanently affect him, making him lose the ability to speak. However, the Sound Hashira Uzui will also be saved by Nezuko, who will use Blood Demon Art.

In conclusion, none of our favorite Demon Slayers will die from any injuries sustained during their battle with Gyutaro and Daki. Uzui will survive the ordeal but will lose an arm AND an eye, so the Hashira will retire. Feels good to know the future. Sometimes spoilers can be... relaxing.

The Demon Slayers finish of the Upper Moon Six siblings.
