So we thought of giving you a heads up and telling you about all the new titles in advance.

10 Best Movies of 2018: Full List and Top Flicks

Hollywood has made its mind. It’s throwing us big wonders in 2018. All of us can plan better if we know what is coming out when. And if you are preoccupied on most weekends, read through our top 10 movies list of 2018 before the full, monthly list of movies in 2018.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Best Movies of 2018
Release Date June 22, 2018
Director J. A. Bayona
Cast Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum

Grandeur, thrilling action, and awe-inspiring creatures – just the things we have come to expect from anything Jurassic. The latest in line to join the list is Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The action movie is directed by J.A. Bayona and will be the sequel to the 2015 Jurassic World. The highlight of the movie is Steven Spielberg, who becomes an executive producer for this movie. The plot is built in the aftermath of the demise of Isla Nublar. After the theme park is put to ashes, the dinosaurs claim the island.

Four years after the Isla Nublar accident, a volcanic eruption breaks outputting the existence of the dinosaurs in threat. Claire Departing, formerly the manager of the park, is now the founder of the Dinosaur Protection Group. Owen Grady comes back to the fray as he is recruited by Claire to lead the rescue. A significant part of Owen’s journey is about relocating Blue. Blue was the only remaining raptor that he trained at the park. The plot thickens as Claire and Owen unearth a life-threating conspiracy against both humans and dinosaurs.

Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers Infinity War Best Movies of 2018
Release Date May 4, 2018
Director Anthony Russo, Joe Russo
Cast Rob, Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, Scarlett Johansson

Avengers: Infinity War is a little different from the other Avenger movies in terms of prejudice. For the Infinity War, some knowledge into the premise of the movie will do any viewer a lot of good. The movie takes you to a point that is placed four years after Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. At this time, the Avengers are divided from what happened in Captain America: Civil War. Thanos makes his way to the Earth in search of the Infinity Stones.

If Thanos gets the Infinity Stones, he will have the power to bend reality according to his will. To save the Earth from the imminent wrath of Thanos, the Avengers will have to team up with Guardians of the Galaxy. Yes, that means Chris Pratt will be on the same screen with Robert Downey, Jr. and we can’t wait to watch. The Infinity War might leave all of us in splits: both because of the action and the timing. While the first installment releases in 2018, we will have to wait another year for the war to end.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Solo A Star Wars Story Best Movies of 2018
Release Date May 25, 2018
Director Ron Howard
Cast Al den Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Grover

Almost everyone is still immersed in the spectacle that was Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Critics might have contrasting opinions on the exact quantification of success. But we are sure of one thing: there’s going to be another Star Wars Movie in 2018. Solo: A Star Wars Story isn’t exactly a part of the routine – it is based on the life of Han Solo. One of the most dashing characters of the series, Han Solo is the first to get a spinoff.

The movie is set prior to whatever happened in the 1977 Star Wars movie. The film follows the life of a young Han Solo, mostly when he wasn’t a part of the galactic action. Alden Ehrenreich is Han Solo and the cast also includes Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson. Set in the same universe as Star Wars, the movie gives us a glimpse into the adventures of Chewbacca and Han Solo. The plot also includes their meeting with Lando Calrissian. This is one movie all of us wished for!

X-Men: Dark Phoenix

X-Men Dark Phoenix Best Movies of 2018
Release Date November 2, 2018
Director Simon Kinberg
Cast Sophie Turner, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain

Before anything else, let’s get the count right. X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the thirteenth X-Men movie to release. What’s more? It is the first of a new trilogy! While a movie has an ensemble cast, some routine performers of the series will be dearly missed. Director Simon Kinberg promises us a totally new challenge for the X-Men. The Dark Phoenix will be in its full power and must also fight the Shi’ar empire of aliens.

You can see a majority of the cast coming down from the X-Men: Apocalypse that was released in 2016. So we can expect a great mix of new and old faces in the movie. Dark Phoenix is set in the ‘90s, some ten years after the Apocalypse. There are references to the storyline of The Dark Phoenix Saga. All this happens while they try to fight off an alien empress!

Mission Impossible: 6

Mission Impossible 6 Best Movies of 2018
Release Date July 27, 2018
Director Christopher McQuarrie
Cast Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Cavill

Mission: Impossible 6 is an American Spy film co-produced, directed, and written by Christopher McQuarrie. The sixth installment in the Mission: Impossible line of movies, MI 6 stars Rebecca Ferguson and Tom Cruise. The movie will be released in the last week of July 2018. MI: 6 will also be the first film in the series to be released in 3D. Surprisingly, not much is known about the plot of the movie at the moment.

Around August 2016, we heard reports that there was a halt in the pre-production routine of the movie. There was a reported dispute of salary between Cruise and the studio. But all of us received good news earlier this year that all is well between Cruise and the production. That means we will soon be treated to a delectable Cruise action. The stunts are on! It's easy to see that MI:6 will be one of the best movies of 2018 - at least when it comes to action.

Ocean’s Eight

Oceans Eight Best Movies of 2018
Release Date June 8, 2018
Director Gary Ross
Cast Rihanna, Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway

George Clooney is the one man who can shape the career of just about any movie. In Ocean’s Eight, George Clooney does not feature himself. He serves as a producer. But the movie itself has a link to the original trilogy. In that, Ocean’s Eight is both a spinoff and a sequel to the original Oceans (cheers to that)! The movie will be released on June 8, 2018, and is piped to be among the hottest cinematic adventures of 2018.

Out of the blue, the plot looks promising. Debbie Ocean is the estranged sister of Danny Ocean. She attempts a heroic heist at the Met Gala in New York City. She pauses and looks to bring onboard an invincible crew. Incoming Lou (Cate Blanchett), Rose (Heena Bonham Carter), Daphne (Anne Hathaway), and Nine (Rihanna). Of course, more boys and girls join in as people look at what could be the most cinematic heist of the year.

Ant-Man and The Wasp

Ant-Man and the Wasp Best Movies of 2018
Release Date July 6, 2018
Director Peyton Reed
Cast Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily, Michael Douglas

There’s Ant-Man, there’s Wasp, and there is action. That is just about the summary of the Ant-Man action movie we are about to watch in 2018. Paul Rudd is Ant-Man again. And Evangeline Lilly comes to the fore as the Wasp. If you have seen the first Ant-Man movie already, you would know about Paul’s character. Let’s throw some light on the Wasp. She is the daughter of Janet van Dyne and Hank Pym.

Hope van Dyne gets a suit similar to her mother’s. That means she is now a full-grown fighter who is out there to challenge injustice. The movie plot again takes off from the events after Captain America: Civil War. He is trying to be a good father when he is presented with a new mission by van Dyne and her father. That is when the action ensues as Ant-Man pairs up with the new Wasp.

Fifty Shades Freed

Fifty Shades Freed Best Movies of 2018
Release Date February 9, 2018
Director James Foley
Cast jmie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, Rita Ora

We know when and how the demand for borderline erotica has made it to mainstream cinema. Fifty Shades of Grey received all kinds of reactions from cinema watchers all over. It was a kind of success that even the makers did not hope for. The sequel to that, Fifty Shades Darker did not turn out to be half as impressive. And that is exactly why the third installment, Fifty Shades Freed becomes especially relevant.

The plot of the erotic romantic drama has been written by Niall Leonard and directed by James Foley. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan come back to their own routines as Anastasia and Christian. The movie starts with the events of Fifty Shades Darker. The couple is now married. But there is a danger for Ana as her former boss swears revenge on her.

Love, Simon

Love Simon Best Movies of 2018
Release Date March 16, 2018
Director J. A. Bayona
Cast Nick Robinson, Katherine Langford, Miles Heizer

When the heart is pumped with all the action happening on the big screen, a simple story of a simple man is coming for you. Simon’s story is set to be complicated – no one yet understands that he is gay. And he does not know the identity of his classmate that has wowed him online. As Simon takes on the challenge of resolving both of these issues simultaneously, a lot of chaos follows.

Directed by Greg Berlanti, Love, Simon is not your typical big budget movie. But it promises to be one of those movies that add a rose petal for the entire year. As a 17-year old shy and gay person, Simon searches the balance among his family, friends, and someone who threatens to break open his sexuality before the whole school. We are eager to see how Simon fights back.

Black Panther

Black Panther Best Movies of 2018
Release Date February 16, 2018
Director Ryan Coogler
Cast Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o, Michael B. Jordan

Another Marvel character gets a superhero movie. Black Panther is the eighteenth movie in the Marvel cinematic universe. Directed by Ryan Coogler, the story is about the homecoming of T’Challa as the king of Wakanda. But the king gets an open challenge from one of his long-time adversaries. A threatening fight brews between the two – one with global consequences. As you would expect from any Marvel movie, there is action galore in this one too!

Like other Marvel releases of 2018, the story of Black Panther starts after Captain America: Civil War. The king T’Challa finds his way back to home. A couple of enemies team up to challenge the king and his sovereignty. T’Challa finds help from CIA and Wakanda’s special army. Together, they must fight back lest there should be a world war.
