By Evanshi Mavani / July 20, 2021

Netflix has confirmed the release date for Baki season 4 after months of speculation. Baki's Season 3 ended the Great Raitai Tournament on a cliff-hanger, setting up the fight between the Hanma's for the next season. While the wait was excruciatingly long, it is finally time for the father-son duo to retake the stage in a climactic showdown!

Is Baki Season 4 Coming Out? - Release Date!

This year's 32nd issue of Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine announced on Thursday that Netflix would premiere Baki Hanma worldwide this fall. So yes, Baki Season 4 is coming out in 2021!

Netflix describes the anime:

The story finally unfolds into a full-blooded clash between Baki Hanma and his father, Yujiro Hanma, who is known as the "strongest creature on earth." The climax of the Baki universe, which depicted the "strongest parent-child brawl in history of the world" in the original manga, has been adapted into the long-awaited anime!

Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine also announced the launch of a website to mark the 30th anniversary of the manga, which is this September. To commemorate the event, the website will be hosting a contest where fans can submit their art, cosplay, videos, or even original manga via Twitter by August 31.

Baki Hanma (Season 4) Trailer

Shortly after the announcement of a fourth season, a trailer for Baki Hanma was released on YouTube.

The opening and ending theme songs have not been revealed yet. However, given that GRANRODEO did an incredible job last season, fans have high expectations this time too!

How Many Episodes Will Baki Hanma Have? - Production Details!

Baki Hanma, i.e., the fourth season, will have 13 episodes available worldwide on Netflix.

For many, Baki is the best Netflix has done with shows, and fans hope this remains true even with the latest season. Fortunately, as TMS Entertainment has been confirmed as the production company behind the anime series once again, things seem to be going well. As for the voice actors, Nobunaga Shimazaki is returning to play the lead character Baki Hanma.

Baki Hanma (Season 4) Plot

Yujiro Hanma

Baki Hanma is the son of Yujiro Hanma, the strongest creature alive on the earth. Yujiro is a one-person army capable of dismantling massive military operations with his fists alone. He can also literally create or stop earthquakes, and his hits are equivalent to nuclear bombs.

Baki's mother, Emi Akezawa, a wealthy woman, blindly loved Yujiro Hanma and did everything she could to bring up their son in the way he wished. She trained Baki intending to turn him into the world's strongest warrior. He was literally born to be the strongest after his father.

In season 3, Baki faced monstrous opponents like Yasha Ape and Muhammad Ali Jr, only to beat them all. However, in this fourth installment of the Baki storyline, we will see him finally face off against his father, Yujiro, in what might be one of the greatest anime fight sequences ever made.

Meanwhile, the five death row inmates are beginning to escape from their jail cells once again. In fact, the season 3 finale saw Ryuukou Yanagi actually succeeding in his escape. When the rest are out, fans wonder how they will fit in the plot. Will the inmates look for revenge against past fighters and overshadow the fight, or will Baki and Yujiro knock them out? One can only wonder what's on their agenda!

Baki Hanma, i.e., the fourth part of Baki, is finally arriving exclusively on Netflix worldwide in Fall 2021.

Baki Hanma acts as a sequel to Baki, a series based on the manga of the same name by the renowned mangaka Keisuke Itagaki. It is an upcoming Netflix Original martial-arts anime that has three released seasons to date:

  1. Baki the Grappler Season 1
  2. Baki the Grappler Season 2
  3. Baki Season 1
  4. Baki Hanma (Upcoming)

The first three seasons of Baki can be found on Netflix.
