SPOILER WARNING

If you haven't watched the latest episode of Attack on Titan: The Final Season, everything below is a MAJOR SPOILER.

*no manga spoilers, though*

Attack on Titan has delivered a shocking and unexpected revelation in the latest episode, yet again! The recently aired episode 79, titled "Memories of the Future," has fans still trying to process the newly revealed information. This hasn't stopped AOT fans from looking for clues, in terms of what to expect next. Attack on Titan Season 4, Episode 21 will release at the end of the week.

The newest episode of AOT implies that Eren has been influencing all of his father's past actions until now through "the paths." Since Zeke is supposed to have control of the coordinate, it's confusing how Eren managed to do this. However, even with all of these unanswered questions fans have picked up a clue from the title of the next episode. Read on to find out.

The Parallels Between Episode 1 and Episode 80

Attack on Titan's fans have seemingly noticed an interesting parallel between the first episode of the series and the upcoming episode. Attack on Titan Episode 79 revealed that protagonist Eren Yeager was the one pulling the strings all along, by manipulating his father Grisha Yeager through their shared memories with the Attack Titan. It seems that Eren's story will come full circle in Season 4 Part 2, Episode 5.

The first parallel fans noticed is in the title of the upcoming episode itself. Episode 1 of Attack on Titan was titled "To You, in 2000 Years: The Fall of Shiganshina, Part 1" while Episode 80 will be titled "From You, 2,000 Years Ago." In addition, the promo of the upcoming episode shows an image of Eren raging, which looks very similar to an image of him in the first episode, where he could be seen crying. Take a look below:

The next episode will most likely reveal a lot more information about Eren's actions, and will also shed some light on what he plans to do next. One of the most awaited events of the last season is 'The Rumbling,' something that has been talked about ever since Season 4 Part 1 came out last year. While don't yet know how this event will take place, we do know it will happen at some point since the opening song of Season 4 Part 2 is titled "The Rumbling."
