Hyouka Anime Series Celebrates 10th Anniversary!
Anime fans, get ready for a mystery-filled year because Hyouka is back to bring your curiosity again! The slice-of-life mystery series, Hyouka, is commemorating its 10th anniversary, with celebrations occurring throughout the year. Kyoto Animation's Hyouka adapted the novels of the same name by Honobu Yonezawa and aired from April 22, 2012, to September 16, 2012. The late Yasuhiro Takemoto helmed the series as the director.
Takemoto directed Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and Amagi Brilliant Park before passing away in the 2019 Kyoto Animation arson attack alongside Futoshi Nishiya, who did the character designs. Nishiya was the chief animation director of the series and worked on both openings and endings. The main cast of Hyouka included Satomi Sato as Eru Chitanda, Daisuke Sakaguchi as Satoshi Fukube, Ai Kayano as Mayaka Ibara, and Yuichi Nakamura as Hotaro Oreki.
Hyouka Anime 10th Anniversary: Everything We Know
According to reports, the first event for Hyouka's 10th anniversary will be held at the GAMERS, the main store in Akihabara, Tokyo, from May 25. A logo for the 10th-anniversary project was revealed alongside the first event to start the celebrations! In addition, an online lottery in partnership with Kujibikido has also been announced.
The first event will be a museum for the anime adaptation of Hyouka by Kyoto Animation, which will take a look back at the series' 22-episode run. Moreover, the Kujibikido collaboration will feature goods and merchandise available to win through the site's online lottery system. Check out the logo for the series' 10th anniversary below:
